16 February 2007: The S&P 500 continues to work its way higher and closed at new rally highs. So how does the current S&P 500 rally rank? To answer this question and to provide some perspective, all major S&P 500 rallies of the last 75 years are plotted on today's chart. With the S&P 500 up 87.5%, the current rally is the third longest in duration but slightly below average in magnitude.

29 Dec 2006: The Dow made another record high yesterday as it crossed the 12,500 level for the first time.
